White Fillings

A composite (tooth colored) filling is used to repair teeth affected by cavities, cracks, fractures or replacement of old and unsightly fillings. Composite is a mixture of glass or quartz filler in a resin medium that produces a tooth colored filling. This material has the advantage over silver amalgam of not containing metals, being highly esthetic and adds the advantage of being able to bond to the remaining tooth. This allows for a more conservative repair to the tooth and the ability to maintain as much natural tooth as possible.
